In this talk Senior Curator of International Art, Dr Sophie Matthiesson uncovers the extraordinary story behind a group of well-known landscapes painted on plates in the Musée Carnavalet, Paris, by the renowned French landscape and decorative artist Hubert Robert (1733-1808) during his imprisonment as a political suspect.
